AW North Carolina Inc., on November 8, 2018 has reached a milestone this November, celebrating 20 years of business. The company has grown from a hundred team members manufacturing company to over a thousand team members currently. AWNC has achieved two decades of innovation and steady growth and is the leading manufacturer of automatic transmission.

To commemorate its 20th year, the company held a luncheon for its Team Members. Management personnel helped out as servers and novelty gifts were handed out to all Team Members. On the commemorative booklet, AWNC President, Mr. Toru Shimizu, stated that the "20 years of successful operation was only possible because of continued support of our customers, suppliers and the local community. Furthermore, AWNC has been so blessed to have dedicated team members who day in day out pour their heart and mind into their work."
