AW North Carolina started its Foreign Trade Zone(FTZ) operations at the Logistics Center in Creedmoor, NC. This venture will help expand the company's automotive transmission supply business in the U.S.

"The Foreign Trade Zone site in Creedmoor, NC will allow the importation from other AW facilities of automotive transmissions to be used in passenger vehicle manufacturing and assembly. Automobile companies who use a Foreign Trade Zone for manufacturing can defer the duty on individual parts until the final vehicles are entered into the U.S. commerce or exported," according to Paul Bernacki -AWNC Customs Compliance Specialist (PC Department)
